Since its inception in 1954, Child & Migrant Services (CMS) has been dedicated to the following mission:
To provide and coordinate community services for migrant and seasonal farm workers and their families in Mesa County–so that they may live and work with dignity in our community.
CMS honors farmworkers’ crucial contribution to the vitality of the community and strives to provide services that will best support them and their families.
ORGANIZATION GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Farm workers will attain their most basic needs during their stay in this community (food, clothing, medical care and housing);
Farm workers will have opportunities for educational and social activities;
Farm workers will have access to bilingual assistance;
Farm workers will have greater access to mental health services, receive education and emotional support for their well being;
Farm workers will receive emotional and other forms of support in case of emergency; and
Farm workers will have greater possibility of attaining quality housing.
