WE HAVE JUST A FEW DOZEN CHICKEN AND VEGGIE TAMALES AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE at Child & Migrant Services’ Hospitality Center at 721 Peach Ave. in Palisade. You may also pre-order for pickup in Grand Junction (details below).
We will be making more tamales on Friday, Sept. 22 at CMS. Please contact us if you would like to volunteer to help out or if you would like to pick up some fresh tamales in the late afternoon that day.

Tamales cost $17 per dozen.
CMS HOURS: Monday through Thursday 12:00 to 6:00 pm. We are frequently in the office at other hours and will happily make an appointment to meet you in the morning or on a Friday.
At CMS, we accept cash and checks only.
FOR PICKUP IN GRAND JUNCTION: Order online or contact CMS by email or phone if you would like to pick up your tamales order in Grand Junction. We’ll schedule a delivery of your order to the Chopstik Express restaurant at 1037 North Ave. across from Colorado Mesa University. Chopstik Express does not take orders for the tamales.

Pork: Corn flour, baking powder, black pepper, red chili pepper, salt, lard, cloves, garlic, pork and corn husk.
Chicken: Corn flour, baking powder, salt, garlic, lard, tomatillos, cilantro, jalapeños, chicken, and corn husk.
Vegetarian: Corn flour, baking powder, vegetable oil, salt, garlic, tomatillos, cilantro, jalapeños, mushrooms, carrots, potatoes, and zucchini.
- Frozen Tamales: can be kept in the freezer for about 4 months.
Microwave: Wrap tamales inside a moistened paper towel. Cook for approximately 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Check often to avoid overcooking.
Steaming: about 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
Serve with salsa of your choice.
