PORK, CHICKEN AND VEGETARIAN (VEGAN) TAMALES ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AT CMS. You may pre-order vegetarian tamales for pickup in Grand Junction on Saturday afternoon (details below).
Child & Migrant Services is located at 721 Peach Ave. in Palisade. Regular office hours: Monday through Thursday, 12 to 6 pm. We’re also available by appointment—just give us a call at (970) 464-5226.
IMPORTANT: all tamales are sold frozen.
Tamales cost $17 per dozen.
At CMS, we accept cash and checks only. You may pay online with a credit card before picking up your order at CMS.

FOR PICKUP IN GRAND JUNCTION: Order online or contact CMS by email or phone if you would like to pick up your tamales order in Grand Junction. We’ll deliver your order to the Chopstik Express restaurant at 1037 North Ave. across from Colorado Mesa University.
Most weeks, tamales orders are delivered to the restaurant on Saturday afternoon. Chopstik Express is open every day of the week.
Chopstik Express does not take orders for the tamales.

Pork: Corn flour, baking powder, black pepper, red chili pepper, salt, lard, cloves, garlic, pork and corn husk.
Chicken: Corn flour, baking powder, salt, garlic, lard, tomatillos, cilantro, jalapeños, chicken, and corn husk.
Vegetarian (Vegan): Corn flour, baking powder, vegetable oil, salt, garlic, tomatillos, cilantro, jalapeños, mushrooms, carrots, potatoes, and zucchini.
- Frozen Tamales: can be kept in the freezer for about 4 months.
Microwave: Wrap tamales inside a moistened paper towel. Cook for approximately 2 to 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Check often to avoid overcooking.
Steaming: about 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
Serve with salsa of your choice.
